About Us

The Collective is a student-run organization based out of Chapman University started by Phil Mentz and David Farca fall of 2019. Our goal is to cultivate community, collaboration and exposure for artists across all corners of campus. We organize shows featuring live music, visual art, pop-up shops, and more, helping showcase Chapman's diverse student artist community.

 

The Collective provides members with a network that will allow them to connect and collaborate with Chapman students regardless of grade or major, and encourage students to use each other’s strengths in order to achieve their creative vision.

Unlike most university clubs, The Collective works under a collective structure meaning all students are able to contribute their ideas on Collective projects. We don't believe in having to wait to be a certain standing in a club in order to create or be involved. We hope to remove as many barriers as possible that are generally found in univesity art programs and clubs.
